ENGINEERS’ HOUSE

Government has reviewed the land allocation in the Reduit triangle. The land promised to IEM has been taken back for other priorities. Government has promised to IEM another plot in some other areas. Further development will be communicated to members as soon as available.

TALKS/PRESENTATIONS

Talks and Presentations will be scheduled regularly.

The first presentation on Geotechnical contamination of site took place on Friday 30th May 2008 at 18:00hrs

Event: Essay Competition - The Role of Engineers in the 21st Century


Dear Members


As part of the activities organised to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of
the Institution of Engineers, Mauritius, IEM organised the above competition
for lower six students to sensitize the student population on the role of engineers
and the challenges of the engineering profession. The competition carries prizes
offered by the Council of Registered Professional Engineers (CRPE).


The award ceremony for the competition is scheduled on Tuesday 24 February
2009 at 1.00 pm at the Auditorium of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Moka

and the event will be graced by the Minister of Education, Culture and
Human Resources
.
